About the Band
Welcome to the Dunfermline District (RBL Scot) Pipe Band.
We are a member led, non-competing band made up of pipers and drummers from across Dunfermline, Fife and the Central Region who play purely for the enjoyment and cameraderie
The band strives to promote excellence in the fields of piping and drumming and aim to provide an educational, social and enjoyable environment for anyone wishing to participate in Fife and it's surrounding towns and villages. We believe that by offering expert tuition, support and advice we can raise the profile of piping and drumming, improve standards and encourage greater participation.
We welcome new members at any time throughout the year, and of all playing standards and ages.
Band practices are held on Monday & Thursday evening between 19.00-21.00 hrs in the British Legion, 60 New Row Dunfermline.
The band is able to provide single pipers or a mini-band, for all types of events and functions:
Corporate, Community, Tourist and Sporting Events, Festivals, Ceilidhs, Burns Suppers, Funerals and of course
no Wedding is complete without a piper!
The Committee
The band wears the MacDuff tartan,
and for the curious among you, the Latin motto
Esto Rupes Inaccessa means
May the rock be inaccessible
